I don't really go for police dramas, having said that, I like to watch "Cold Case Files" The A&E one where they profile actual cold cases. Thou there have been one or two episodes that left me very unsettled, eps. when they aren't shy about crime scene photos.
I don't watch police dramas, I don't like violence, and murders and stuff like that. However, I do watch a Canadian show called Murdoch Mysteries set in Toronto in the 1890's, it is a police drama about solving murders, but since it is set in a different time period I can handle watching it.
I don't normally like the typical police drama, but the geekier ones appeal to me a little more then the regular CSI, Kojak, JAG, Hill Street Blue, Adam 12, Cold Case, Dragnet, Law & Order: SVU, NYPD, & etc. type of shows.
Numb3rs, and Bones, both have a bit of that Geekiness about them. With Numb3rs, it is mathematics, and with Bones, it is logic and psychology (among other things).
But, I can understand not being willing to see the occasional scenes of blood and guts, etc. A friend of mine, he still gets a bit queasy at the sight of blood, and he is nearly my age.

I don't normally watch a show because of the network it is on, but because I like the show itself. ;-)

Nor do I.....normally. Lately, it has been, along with sitting for short periods behind the computer in here, the only thing I can do.
