Computer Power Supple to Power 2 Computer Fans Answered

I have a wine fridge with two fans (computer fans)  that cool a massive heat sink, but the temperature gauge is faulty so they constantly power on and power off. I was hoping to remove the existing controller and power the existing computer fans (that are already mounted) with an old Computer Power Supply to have them constantly on.

Any ideas?

I saw that they sell also the fan screen with a filter inside. I am wondering if I can replace it with a carbon filter and use these fans for exaust the odor as I am planning to grow with LED PPF 400 so I won't have the heating problem but it's really important for me the odor and the noise.

If they're regular pc fans, they don't need something as powerful of complex as a cpu power supply. Typically pc fans are 12v and less than 500mA, so a simple 12v 1A wall adapter should work just fine. If you want to make them temperature activated, I'd suggest using something like an Arduino or even an ATTINY85 to control that.

1. there are blue l.e.d.s that need to be cut or covered if the unit is in the grow area.

2. I bought 80 mm fans, but I'm wishing I got the 120mm fans with more cfm.
