windows 7 bubbles?
I've been watching the bubbles screensaver in win7. Is it modeling anything? What determines the interaction of the bubbles?

What do you mean "modeling"? Each bubble has a collider and a velocity, a basic physics engine determines how those velocities change when two colliders come in contact with each other.

By modeling I mean is the program copying how something physical interacts...Dust particles, guppies, water vapor?? They don't act like billiard balls. They sometimes speed up before colliding.

Try tickling the little chappie under the start button with your mouse cursor, he's blowing them. :)
