Information page not accurate?
I noticed on another author's information page (accessed when you double click on stat card) that he had an achievement patch for being in the newsletter. I also noticed that his featured articles were marked with a banner. I had an instructible shown in the 9/30/2010 newsletter and have had one instructible featured (at least at the technology level).
How do you get the achievement patch and featured instructibles marked?

If you'd like to help send out patches to those featured in the newsletters:

There's a technical glitch right now that's preventing us from sending newsletter patches! Sorry about that, we'll get caught up as soon as it's fixed.

Has there been progress on this? I am waiting on patches for 3 newsletters as well as 2 contests (one from January).

The newsletter patches are sent manually, in batches (when somebody gets around to it).
You only get the "featured" banner if it is featured on the home page.

Kiteman,
I know that you said that the newsletter patches are sent manually when someone gets around to it, but there seems to be a problem.
I was in the 11/26/2010 newsletter and have not recieve a patch, yet I have seen on another author page a patch for the 11/28/2010 newsletter.
I know it isn't a big deal, but I would like the patch anyway.

Kiteman,
They don't seem to be making any progress.

Did you see the comment from Canida on 9 Feb (it's down at the bottom)?

I believe he did not...

The 11/26/2010 email newsletter. The instructible was "Cheap Motion Detection Wildlife Camera" titled "Motion Detection Camera" in the newsletter.
Thanks for your help.

How long does it stay on the home page?
Reply 10 years ago
Until it falls off. Each new feature fills the "first slot", and the others slide back one. Eventually, there are five new features and yours goes away. You can see the twenty most recent by going to the browsing pages.
